This is the Ambassador Royale Limousine that I found an old ad for on Facebook. Here are the specs:
A company called Trans World Leasing, out of Chicago was offering 24 or 36 month leases on these, or a direct sale. Features include colour TV, stereo tape deck, partitioned glass, a dictating unit, bar (of course), Le Baron rear and side windows (?), and a custom interior, plus much more. They were hoping to make this the number 1 selling limo of its day. Structural features include double I beam construction, a 390 4bbl, safety lock jump seats, power disc brakes, and a wheelbase longer than the Cadillac '75' limo. I don't think they made it to number 1, but they made a few. I have a picture of me sitting in one at a show a long time ago.

Jeep Honcho, built for the 1980s wave of American factory attitude, and few wore it louder than the J-10 Honcho — Jeep's stripes-and-swagger package produced in small numbers (commonly cited at around 1,264 from 1980 to 1983). This is the 'stepside' version, the bed sides carrying the Honcho graphics, a roll bar standing in the box, and a set of off-road lights up top. It's the truck AMC used to prove a workhorse could have a personality, and the appearance package is a big part of why these are remembered.

Both of its competitors (Pinto and Vega) were available as sedan deliveries - the profile of the Gremlin would've been perfect for it (especially when they reshaped the quarter windows for the Spirit).

AMC was struggling against the power of the Big 3 when it pulled out its ace-in-the-hole. That wild card came from AMC’s ownership of Jeep and its famed four-wheeling technology, which the Kenosha automaker’s engineers and stylists adapted to create the first mass-produced passenger car with full-time all-wheel drive.
1980 AMC Eagle was the first model year of the bold experiment. While all-wheel-drive cars and trucks are fairly routine today, the Eagle 4X4 was revolutionary in 1980, combining as it did the trail-ready capability of a Jeep with the comfort and versatility of a car-based station wagon.
The Eagle was basically AMC’s humdrum Hornet wagon, lifted three inches for off-road clearance and fitted with the underpinnings of Jeep’s full-time all-wheel drive that worked via a viscous transfer case. Unlike the trucklike Jeeps, which had solid axles front and rear, the Eagle was equipped with independent front suspension for more carlike ride and handling.

Although he worked within tight budget restrictions at AMC, Teague sometimes referred to his time there as "Camelot". Designing several different cars from existing AMC stampings, he worked "relative miracles" compared to the spending norms in this industry. With little money to work with, he reconfigured the existing cars and parts in new ways. For example, he incorporated the doors from AMC's large-sized automobiles into his design for the new 1964 compact Rambler American.

Here are 3 of our club's cars at the Woodstock Auto Expo on May 17. Rob van Veen's AMX, Bruce Andersen's American convertible, and Angelo Fedele's Javelin AMX. It was a beautiful day, and a great start to the show season.

They were traveling in a close to new 1962 Rambler Classic Custom or 400 Cross Country wagon from Quebec. It had a loaded aftermarket roof rack on the front part of the roof to go along with the loaded factory rack on the rear roof section. The Classic was available solely with a six cylinder for this year only. We'll be good to go pretty soon on the roadside snacks!

Who has one of these? Have you made this model before? I found this on Ebay.ca for about $35CDN, and then about the same to ship it from the US. Don't forget the customs, and you have about an $80-90 model. You may need the glue, to make you feel better about your purchase. Just kidding....have a Canadian beer. Take care!

Picking up with a Pacer. It may have lost it's fish bowl feel, but hopefully you can carry a whole lot of fishing equipment in this open air storage facility! With its added all terrain suspension, this Pacer would get you to a lot of fishing holes. April 17, 2025 Happy Easter! Hopefully with family coming over this weekend, you won't have this parking problem. I am glad the Jeep was spared.

And you're not going to catch this bad boy! April 3, 2025 It was quite a week for some of our members in Ontario. There was a terrible ice storm, and many lost power for quite a few days, and some up to a week. Here are a couple of pictures from Barb and Harm's farm. 
An icy X, and those heavy frosted branches took down too many trees on the farm and the surrounding areas. The power lines didn't stand a chance being mixed up in the branches. Barb and Harm managed to get through by generating their own power in order to keep freezers, heaters, and TV going. Glad you both got through this. Here is the March 27 POW for you. If you are in to AMC Drag racing you'll recognize this beauty driven by Wally Booth. I found this on the AMC Forum page. We lost another AMC icon and hero late last year, Wally Booth (11/12/24). Wally was a gentleman and a friend to the AMC hobby. In his retirement, he gave a lot of his time and knowledge to to the AMC hobby. He will be greatly missed.
